An exceptional leather

Crust calf from the Tannerie du Puy, that has obtained the french label EPV (it can be translate as Living Heritage Company). This full-grain calfskin, colored flat by hand directly in our Manufacture, has the advantage of being resistant while remaining dressed, with the possibility of glazing on it.

This manual coloring gives your Septième Largeur this unique shade, which will evolve over time through reflections and a natural patina.

Thin last - the 199

It is the most French last in the collection. She is discreetly slender and will fit perfectly on standard to thin feet.

Goodyear welted construction

This sewn consists of two separate seams connected by the welt: 1. the Goodyear seam on the inside, which you cannot see, and 2. The small stitch seam which you can see in the photo opposite.

Leather sole

Demonstration of 7L's know-how, the work of the sole is also its signature. This is a close channel stitching, the shoes seam is therefore protected from the wear of the first ports. Under the arch of the foot is a metal bevelled waist and fiddleback with a double wooden pegging, a technique inspired by shoemakers and rare in the footwear industry.

As for the heel, it's made up of several layers of leather, each still applied by hand today.

A meticulous work

As a nod to our favorite number, our leather soles are adorned with 7 small brass nails to protect the front of the sole during the first wear. This part is in fact the most subject to abrasion. They are not meant to stay but rather to be replaced with a metal toe later.
