The idea of patina was an natural one. In 2010, La Maison 7L opened its first showroom in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, and for over 13 years has been seducing the most discerning customers, as well as those with simpler desires.

Organized every year by Shoegazing Blog, The Shoe Snob & Saphir Médaille d'Or, since 2019 this competition has brought together the best patina artisists for a day of competition at the London Super Trunk Show.
To qualify, our Patina artist created a blue-toned patina on a Lapo RS loafer. His precise gradient work enabled him to be selected as one of the top 3 finalists.
The final was held in the heart of London on Saturday May 13, 2023. For 5 hours, the 3 finalists had to produce their best creation.
The entire 7L team is proud of this achievement, a fine recognition of our Maison's expertise!
