Our prices are increasing and here's why

The importance of the value for money

Since the creation of the company in 2009, Septième Largeur has always made sure to charge fair prices. By controlling our profit margins, we have been able to offer you a competitive price-quality ratio, which has been quickly recognized in the industry for its fairness, making it a characteristic of our positioning and our values.

We have always made it a point to be transparent with our clients on this subject and that’s why today we couldn’t remain silent about the price increase which is about to happen in the next few weeks.

A tense global economic contexe

The current global context that we all know today has forced many industries to change their way of working, including - and especially - the handicraft industry. With the COVID-19 crisis and its various lock-downs, many companies had no choice but to slow down or even stop their production, which has directly impacted price increases in the shoes sector, but also in the textile area.

From then, this rise in raw materials was accompanied by higher labor and transportation costs. In fact, there are also the recent geopolitical events affecting Eastern Europe, which didn’t help but only made the situation worse.

How are we affected?

Unfortunately, our workshops have not escaped this situation and, like many others, have been directly impacted by these various crises. This has resulted in an increase of more than 10% in their fees, starting in January, 2022. Our margins have been directly affected, especially since they are, as you already know, reduced in order to be able to offer you the right price for our products.

Within this complicated economic context and in order to ensure the sustainability of our company, we are now forced to adjust the prices of some of our shoes, which translates into an increase of about twenty euros per model. This change will take place on September, the 1st 2022.

As you may have guessed, this increase doesn’t reflect a new vision or a change in strategy for our House, which has always been to democratize high-end shoes. That’s why, we wish to continue to respect our engagements about the quality of our products without lowering our standards. Our will remains unchanged, namely to preserve our know-how.
