A Goodyear Comfort Welted®

Like the majority of our collection, the Manhattan is assembled with Goodyear stitching. This assembly guarantees the longevity of the shoe and the possibility of re-sewing it once it has been worn. Here in the "Comfort Welted" version for an incomparably flexible sole.

An exceptional suede

We have chosen the blue-colored suede from the Italian tannery Sciarada. In the heart of Tuscany, this house has existed since 1977 and was one of the first to be ISO 14001 certified for its environmental efforts.
Unlike the urban legends that circulate against it, this 100% calf leather is not afraid of water. No waterproofing is necessary either, it is already treated for wet weather thanks to its water-repellent properties.

Emblematic model of the French loafers, its 7751 last - wide and short - is very versatile and will match all your summer outfits.

An exclusive detail

Small detail but which makes the difference, to dress the small stitch, we opted this year for a welt called "roulette".

Technical craftsmanship

The double-needle seam is entirely handmade, using traditional techniques from the past. This finishing work brings strength and style to the shoe. We are proud to be one of the last Maisons to still offer this type of detail.

Goodyear welted construction

This sewn consists of two separate seams connected by the welt: 1. the Goodyear seam on the inside, which you cannot see, and 2. The small stitch seam which you can see in the photo opposite.
