A double-needle hand stitching

The upper is made of two leather parts joined together and hand-stitched with double needles. This technical gesture is still exclusively carried out with the force of the arms. This method, which is less and less common, is the result of the know-how of our craftsmen. It gives cachet, a certain irregularity and therefore a personality to each shoe.

Bookbinded leather

It is a leather called bookbinded, which is waterproof. Indeed, the water washes off the skin while letting the foot breathe. It comes from a small tannery in Galicia, the Picusa tannery. Naturally this moccasin is unlined for even more lightness.

Blake construction

This is a Blake stitched full tube loafer construction. A term that is a bit technical but which in fact emphasizes that the two inserts go around the shoe in a tubular way. Aesthetic detail, the roller passage on the outsole "dresses" the model a little more.

LEATHER SOLE

A 100% leather sole that gives the moccasins a longer life and a better fit. It is a vegetable-tanned fat leather. The heel is made of natural rubber for more cushioning and grip. Once worn over time, it can be replaced at a shoemaker's or a 7L store.

Good looking shoes, unfortunately

"Good looking shoes, unfortunately the product had some manufacturing issues (spots of blue paint on beige surface, markings from stitching machine on leather) which SL‘s quality control didn’t accept as a lack of quality. An exchange wasn’t possible as the size I ordered was the last one on stock. Sadly, 0 customer centricity & friendly but servicewise poor customer service. In this case other brands issue e. g. a partial refound, give you a promo code with a small discount for future options, refund you shipping costs, . . . Nothing of this was the case. I had originally asked to exchange the shoes for the same model w/o quality issues without paying for s/h again. Even this was declined… Packaging of low quality. Very fast shipping (package arrived within 24 hours of purchase), which you have to pay for. My review: nice e-com appearance. Service, product and general experience below expectations. Brand doesn’t keep up to it‘s promise for quality products. I hope others have better experiences."
