Parisian Gentleman x Septième Largeur
STEP 1
FINDING YOUR 7L SIZE
Félix, a shoe expert at the Saint-Lazare flagship, is here to help you find your perfect size at Septième Largeur.

Determining your 7L size
- To choose the right size, we recommend measuring your larger foot following these steps:
- Wear the type of socks you would normally wear with this type of shoe.
- Place your larger foot flat on a surface, with your heel against a wall.
- Measure from the base of your heel to the tip of your longest toe.
- Then, refer to the size conversion chart to determine your 7L size.

Comparing your shoe size
- You can determine your size by comparing it to those of other brands. If you already own a pair of dress shoes, we recommend checking our size comparison chart below. There, you'll find your usual brand and the equivalent size at 7L.
- Please note that these size conversions are approximate, as each brand uses different lasts that may fit differently.

1.MEASURING YOUR FOOT
To determine your size, here are a few suggestions:
1. Wear the type of socks you would typically wear with this style of shoe.
2. Measure both of your feet. You may get slightly different measurements, so make sure to go with the larger of the two.
3. Print out the measurement sheet and write down your measurements. No printer? No worries, a blank sheet of paper works just as well.

2. SIZE CONVERSION CHART
Using the size conversion chart, determine the size you need from the Parisian Gentleman collection.
Please note that if you have a wider foot, it’s recommended to choose a half size larger than the one indicated in the chart.
Already wear 7L shoes? Check our last comparison chart for more guidance.
3. BRAND COMPARISON CHART
If you've never worn 7L shoes but own a pair from one of the brands listed below, you can use that to determine your size at Septième Largeur. However, please note that these conversions are approximate. These brands also use different lasts, and their shoes may not fit in the same way.

STEP 2
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT LASTS & WIDTHS
Félix introduces you to the lasts and widths of the Parisian Gentleman collection.

The 206 last
The 206 last is a staple of the brand, offering great versatility. Slightly rounded at the toe, it easily adapts to all foot shapes, whether narrow or wide.

The 7751 last
The 7751 last is wide and short, also considered round at the toe. Its unique feature is being more tapered at the instep, starting from the arch of the foot.

The E width
The models from the collaboration between Septième Largeur and Parisian Gentleman come in a single width: width E. This width is available in two lasts, the 206 and the 7751, both of which are designed to fit all foot shapes.
STEP 3
CONFIRMING YOUR SIZE
How do you know if your shoes fit properly? Félix answers all your questions!

Wearing the right size
To know if your shoes fit properly, there are several points to check:
- First, you should not experience excessive pain, especially around the heel or toes, as this would indicate a size that is too small. When trying them on for the first time*, you can apply gentle pressure around the heel and toes to check for any excessive empty space between your foot and the shoe. If there’s too much space, it means the shoe is too large for your foot and could cause unsightly leather creases over time.
- Another indicator that your size is correct is your heel. If it lifts easily while walking or even when standing still, it’s a sign the shoe is too big.
- In summary, when your shoes are new, it’s normal for them to feel snug, even tight, in width, but never in length.
*We recommend trying your shoes on a carpet or rug to protect the sole in case an exchange is needed.

Tight shoes?
It’s completely normal to feel a slight pressure when wearing new shoes for the first time. However, as mentioned earlier, significant pain should never be experienced, as this indicates the shoe is too small.
It’s recommended to choose the size that fits your foot as closely as possible. Over time, the leather will stretch, so you don’t want your shoes to end up too loose.
This is especially important for loafers, which have neither laces nor buckles. It’s crucial that your foot fits perfectly, as once the leather softens, you won’t be able to tighten the shoe. If it becomes too large, you risk losing the shoe.
